Day One-Hundred and Twenty: Rest is More

7 children either came to or went from my home on 20 of the past 120 days. 10 months to 13 years, male and female, with vastly differing needs and preferences.

And today. No emergency underwear or comfort food run. No one dropped off furniture or clothes. No work, school or daycare. No county case workers, agency clinical case managers, counselors or doctors. No appointments of any kind, not a single crisis.

We said “no” to many good things to protect this sacred family day. My girls and I did what we wanted to do all day long and it was fantastic.
